Executive Office of Health and Human Services
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is the largest secretariat in state government and is comprised of 12 agencies, in addition to 2 soldiers’ homes and the MassHealth program. Our efforts are focused on the health, resilience, and independence of the one in four residents of the Commonwealth we serve. Our public health programs touch every community in the Commonwealth.
ARPA Bill Earmarks for EOHHS and our Agencies
ARPA Bill Earmarks are earmarked in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) that were created specifically for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). ARPA was established by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to improve the efficiency of HHS and other federal agencies.
The following chart shows how the President has released earmarks to individual entities since he took office. As you can see, the amount of money the President has allocated for earmarks has decreased in recent years.
